I was able to save a lot of time and trouble by finding the cleanest water source and siphoning it via this product. The Lifestraw is very easy to use and self explanatory. It filters out most of the bad things found in waters but not the taste.

Technology used:

I bought this about two months ago and it works very well. Charges easily even with diffused light and gives sufficient light during operation. It can be charged with AC mains if you have a compatible Nokia charger. I have not tried it, as I don't have one. Build is sturdy and I expect it to last for a long time.

Today I will keep on explaining how was the experience of interviewing the d.light S250 users on Ataúro Island as a Kopernik fellow. As you may remember from my previous post, we spent one week going to the different sub villages of Biqueli that had received the solar lights in order to get some feedbacks from the users. The last time I shared with you my visit to the sub villages of Uaruana and Uatu’u.

The insulated combustion chamber reaches 1000 degrees F and therefore drastically reduces the amount of smoke given off compared to a camp fire. It's compact size also makes it easy to store between uses. The only negative is that I wish the box it came in was more sturdy.
