Make safe, drinking water available to rural Nigerian communities and create awareness of the importance of water sanitation.
The majority of people in Nigeria, especially in rural communities, lack accessibility to safe and clean drinking water. The issues of sanitation and water supply are significantly linked to child mortality, maternal health, primary education, gender equity, poverty reduction, hunger and environmental sustainability.
Through the provision of the Tulip Water Filter and awareness raising on the importance of water sanitation, this project will provide much-needed access to a safe water source.
105 households and approximately 535 people will benefit directly from the distribution of this technology.
The beneficiaries will be members of remote communities in rural Nigeria.
