石巻市雄勝地区の避難所で、コペルニクが供給したソーラーランプを使っていた住民の方たちが、非常に使いやすく、明るく、電池もい らず、ろうそくのように火事の心配もないとのことで、絶賛されていました。このプロジェクトでは、148個のランプを上記の停電地帯の避難所・周囲の世帯に配布する予定です。
The solar lights that Kopernik has distributed through previous projects are receiving extremely positive feedback from the victims of the Tsunami in Miyagi prefecture, as they are easy to use, does not require batteries and no risk of fire. Some affected areas were provided with generator, but fuel supply is scarce. This project will provide 148 solar powered lanterns to additional people in the vicinity of Ishimaki city, Onagawa-Cho, Minami-Sanriku-Cho, and Kisen-numa city, where the power supply will not be back in the foreseeable future.
