Driptech has created the most field ready drip irrigation system for small-plot famers - affordable, high quality, and easy-to-use.
“Drip irrigation is celebrated for its efficient delivery of water to crop root zones. Yet its benefits are particularly meaningful for farmers in Kechla village who have historically irrigated dry season crops by hand. Such a process is very time consuming, especially for someone who juggles multiple jobs, as many of the farmers do”
Without the need for expensive and complex emitters, Driptech systems are priced at least 50% lower than other commercially available drip irrigation systems. A small-plot farming family would be able to afford and purchase a Driptech system that will produce enough vegetables to increase their income. After buying this system, farmers can recoup their initial investment in less than 6 months, with significant increases in income over the next 3-5 years - the lifespan of the product.
We use proprietary manufacturing technology to produce low-cost driptape with visibly high uniformity of water application. A typical small-plot farmer is able to pay back the cost of the system through increased yield and crop quality within 6 months. A typical set includes drip tape, takeoff valves, rubber grommets, a filter, and a hand drill tool. Additional materials necessary include PVC pipe (40, 50 or 63mm diameters), PVC fittings, and connection to a water pump for water tank.
*Driptech systems are configured in the field and come in a range of sizes, and respective prices. The price ranges from $20 to $250, and the weight from 5kg to 50kg.
Maintenance schedule depends largely on water quality.
On average, the following schedule should be used:
