Suzy is the co-owner and chairperson of The Body Shop Indonesia. She believes that all businesses should be sustainable, and is passionate that Planet-People-Profit becomes the mantra of every business person. Suzy Hutomo is the Executive Chairwoman of THE BODY SHOP INDONESIA.
In 1992, she and her husband acquired a license from The Body Shop, a global body care brand from UK founded by Anita Roddick, who was also very much concerned about gender and environmental issues. Suzy Hutomo believes that business should be concerned with far more beyond mere profit. Business is but a link in the chain of planet, people and profit.
According to her when the environment is damaged, no business will be able to survive. This understanding led this mother of three to call upon the society and its business practitioners to care for the planet and social environment.
Suzy is a climate presenter with Al Gore’s The Climate Reality Project since 2011. She is the Supervisory Board of KEHATI – the Indonesia Biodiversity Foundation, the Board of Greenpeace Southeast Asia, and at the Board of Kopernik Foundation. Her commitment for environment is implemented by hands-on involvement in various NGOs. She also the founder of Sustainable Suzy, a sustainable lifestyle channel at www.sustainablesuzy.com.
