Anna brings valuable insights and knowledge to the Communications Team with in excess of ten years' communications experience in both non-profit and private sector environments and relevant tertiary education in psychology, business and marketing. As Communications Advisor she will support the team in the strategic planning, implementation and monitoring of various communications activities, focusing on intensifying Kopernik's reach within the sector and our interaction with like-minded organizations and individuals. With a love for Indonesian culture and passion for finding smart and streamlined communiations strategies, processes and practices, she's found the perfect workplace at Kopernik to fulfill both her personal and professional goals. Anna is a volunteer through the Australian Government's AVID program.

J-PAL SEA, EVIDENCE ACTION AND KOPERNIK TEAM UP TO RESEARCH LEAN SEASON SOLUTIONS IN EASTERN INDONESIA »

In order to address the financial hardships experienced by many rural farming communities in Indonesia, Kopernik has embarked on a pilot project with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab Southeast Asia (J-PAL SEA) and Evidence Action.

The project will investigate ways of encouraging farmers to seek alternative work during the ‘lean season’ - the period between harvests where household cash flow is generally limited and consumption drops.

Depot Desa officially launches in Adonara »

It was an important day for our team in East Flores, Indonesia. If you were here with us on 1 December, you’d have certainly felt the excitement. After 7 months of intensive preparation, we officially launched our first Depot Desa site on the island of Adonara. Attended by government officials, community members, local farming groups, Kopernik staff and volunteers, our donor - Polish Aid, and Mama Loretha - one of our Wonder Women who is partnering with Kopernik on this initiative - we officially opened the Depot Desa site with a celebration.
