THE POSITION
We are currently recruiting a highly talented, motivated, creative Visual Communications Officer or Senior Officer to support Kopernik’s communications team in designing high quality multimedia materials, to engage and excite our various audiences and mobilize greater support to help Kopernik’s mission and work.
This position calls for a creative mind to conceptualize, design and develop compelling communications materials, visiting our project sites to film and capture stories and lived realities of our partners and communities we work with, creating impactful and meaningful stories through videos and photos, and other multimedia assets.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop visual communications materials including infographics, motion graphics, regular and 360-degree videos, print materials and other multimedia assets to ensure Kopernik’s work are well-captured and visualized through our communications materials.
  • Actively generate ideas to develop high quality and creative visual communications materials to communicate Kopernik’s work and influence peers in the development and corporate sectors and reach our key target audiences.
  • Work closely with the Communications Officers to test different visual designs and formats utilizing different channels and platforms, and to identify what works and what doesn’t.
  • Ensure all visual communications materials are consistent with Kopernik’s branding style guide.
  • Provide training and support to Kopernik’s team members related to any communications material productions.
  • Document the creative production process and workflow, and note all feedback for future use.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Qualification in Visual Communication Design, Media and Communication, Information Design and Visualization, or degree in a relevant discipline, with at least five years professional experience.
  • Ability to critically analyze proposed content and offer valuable opinions and suggestions for improvement.
  • Ability to produce digital, print and video and other visual communications materials in accordance with the brand style guide.
  • Experience with using multiple visualization software, platforms, and processes, including Microsoft Office Suite, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere.
  • Extensive experience in photography and videography.
  • Knowledge of web design and an understanding of concepts in interactive visualization and informatics design.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest effective communications trends and best practices, and actively share insights with the communications team.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites or attend events, capturing compelling stories, still images and video footage.
  • A commitment to Kopernik’s culture and values in reaching underserved communities.
  • Indonesian national.

Expected remuneration for this position is IDR 6,000,000 to maximum IDR 8,000,000 for Officer position and IDR 8,000,000 to maximum IDR 12,000,000 for Senior Officer position (depending on the experience and qualification of the successful candidate) and other benefits.
