Mona is an analyst for the Solution Lab team at Kopernik. She brings hands-on experience working with indigenous and grassroots communities across Indonesia and abroad. She combines a background in community development and research and development with a commitment to strengthen indigenous and local knowledge in development programs.
Mona brings an interdisciplinary academic background with a Master's in Development and Rural Innovation from Wageningen University & Research Netherlands to approach social and environmental challenges from multiple angles to her work as an analyst for Solution Lab team at Kopernik. Before joining Kopernik, she worked to lead corporate social responsibility programs and conducted qualitative research across communities in Indonesia and Kenya. Her work centers on amplifying indigenous and local knowledge to encourage epistemic justice as a foundation to create inclusive and sustainable development ensuring that the communities are recognized as active contributors, not passive recipients. Outside of work, Mona balances intellectual curiosity with an active lifestyle. She loves exploring historical museums and staying grounded through PoundFit and bouldering.
