Sergina Loncle

IKLIM Director

With her extensive experience working on numerous development projects for over 15 years and her passion for communications for development, Sergina currently leads our IKLIM Initiative.

Sergina has a longstanding commitment to social and environmental justice, community development, and women’s empowerment, rooted in her undergraduate studies in theology. She has worked across diverse development initiatives, from community-based programs and advocacy to disability rights, gender and disability, art for social change, women’s empowerment, and emergency response, with local and international NGOs in Indonesia, Timor-Leste, and the United States. Her professional journey led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Communication and Development Studies at Ohio University, with a specialization in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Passionate about the power of communication to shift social norms, influence behavior, and amplify underrepresented voices, she now leads Kopernik’s IKLIM (Inisiatif Kebudayaan, Lingkungan, Informasi, dan Media) initiative. Through IKLIM, she works at the intersection of culture, environment, information, and media, collaborating with musicians, artists, journalists, environmental organizations, and climate experts to amplify climate awareness and inspire meaningful action. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and continuously learning about responsible and sustainable living.
