THE PARTNERSHIP
Empower Generation first came to our attention when we were looking for local partners to work with for the Earthquake Emergency in Nepal in 2015. We were introduced to them through our contacts at d.light as they not only run their own women's empowerment programs but double up as the d.light distributors in Nepal. We were very excited to hear about their women's empowerment program which is very similar to Kopernik's Wonder Women program. We were also very impressed with how quickly they mobiles and linked us with small local communities who were not receiving help from larger humanitarian programs in the immediate aftermath of the Earthquake. They are a very reliable partner and we have enjoyed learning from them and building our current partnership where we have supported two of their women entrepreneurs.
