THE PARTNERSHIP
Kopernik is working with TORAJAMELO in an experimentation project to design and create a more ergonomic weaving set-up for women in Adonara and Lembata, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Our goal is to create a more ergonomic weaving set-up to reduce pain, increase comfortability, and increase productivity among weavers which promotes the SDG goal number 8, decent work and economic growth. This project is also designed to support the recovery of women’s livelihood after the Tropical Cyclone Seroja which hit a number of areas in NTT, including Adonara and Lembata in April 2021.
