THE PARTNERSHIP
Kopernik is partnering with Yayasan Puter Indonesia on an emergency response to the forest and land fires in Katingan, Central Kalimantan, where hazardous haze has caused a sharp rise in acute respiratory infections. Yayasan Puter receives the 50 K-Purifiers, Kopernik’s low-cost air purifier, and distributes them to smoke-safe houses, clinics, hospitals and other public facilities in need. Drawing on its community-based work on forest fire prevention, Yayasan Puter assesses which facilities are most affected so that the purifiers reach those who need them most, as quickly as possible.
