We helped families who have been evacuated due to the increased seismic activity at the Mount Agung volcano by providing them with basic necessities.
THE PROBLEM
"More than 10,000 residents of Karangasem regency, Bali have been evacuated from their homes as Mount Agung continues to show increasing signs of volcanic seismic activity. Magma flows rising closer to the surface have led to hundreds of tremors, prompting families to evacuate the area. The last erUption in 1963 led to a death toll of 1,148 and 296 injured. The residents are currently being evacuated into four evacuation points, in Klungkung,
Karangasem and Buleleng. In one of the locations - Desa Les, Buleleng, Bali, as of the morning of 23 September there were 1,490 evacuees from Ban, Kubu, Karangasem.
