In collaboration with 1000 Days Fund, Kopernik is supporting families affected by East Nusa Tenggara by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara, through the distribution of emergency supplies and shelter kits.

THE PROBLEM
On 15 August 2026, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia
As of 17 August 2026, the National Disaster Management Board (BNPB) reported the impacts of the disaster as follows:
- 56 total casualties
- 277 total injured people
- ± 11,675 Internally Displaced People
- > 2,500 public facilities and houses damaged
THE SOLUTION
Kopernik is providing shelter kits to the affected locations in partnership with 1000 Days Fund. The kits comprise of the following:
- Tarps (A5) : 210 pieces
- Rope for tarps (6mm, 20 m/pack) : 210 pieces
- Solar lights : 160 pieces
THE EXPECTED IMPACT
This response is expected to reach more than 945 people from more than 210 households in East Nusa Tenggara who have been heavily impacted by the extreme earthquake in Maggarai, West Manggarai, and East Manggarai.
