THE EXPECTED IMPACT
This response is expected to reach more than 1,450 people from more than 350 households in Bali and 250 MSMEs in Badung Market who have been heavily impacted by the flooding.
THE PROJECT RESULT
Kopernik’s emergency response to the torrential rains in Bali delivered critical support to communities most affected by flooding, in close coordination with BPBD Bali. The effort reached a total of 674 communities across four districts and Denpasar City, including 36 severely impacted households in Jembrana, Denpasar, Klungkung, Bangli, and Karangasem, as well as 638 kiosks in Kumbasari and Badung markets in Denpasar.
Thanks to fundraising and donor support, Kopernik distributed 6,416 essential relief items, covering immediate hygiene needs, emergency shelter, and early recovery. This included hygiene kits (such as 1,788 toothbrushes, 297 towels, and 250 bottles of shampoo), shelter kits (including 391 tarpaulins, 400 mattresses, and 500 sarongs), and recovery kits (such as 696 blankets, 173 buckets, and 250 mops).
This rapid distribution helped households and market vendors recover more quickly by restoring basic living conditions, protecting their homes and stalls, and reducing health risks in the aftermath of severe flooding.
