THANK YOU, DIGITAL DETOXERS!

On 9 March 2016, we challenged our supporters to #disconnect2connect in the spirit of Nyepi Day in Bali, a day of silence, meditation and reflection.

82 people committed to Kopernik’s Digital Detox challenge, disconnecting from their high-tech devices for 24 hours and raised funds from their donors to help connect  simple technology to the people who need it the most. We’d very much like to send a HUGE thank you to all of the challengers, donors, and supporters who have been showing tremendous support for Digital Detox this year.

Together, we’ve raised more than US$2,177.31 (Rp 28.481.446), including the donations raised from #disconnect2connect bracelets – which will help to fund our Syrian Refugee Response project, connecting 1,000 JANMA clean birth kits with internally displaced mums-to-be in Syria. We are still fundraising for this project, you can pitch in your donation through the project page or get more #disconnect2connect bracelet (email to ina.saptiono@kopernik.ngo).
